I can no longer play a tournament in my career with the 5.4 release.
I started a fresh one and the same thing. I try to compete in a tournament but it only shows my character listed in the player list. It wont advance to the draw sheet so I can play a match. If I try to advance the week while my player is entered the game will crash after it simulates all the other tournament that week.
I was using an updated player stats, names, and stadium names mod. I removed the mod and the 1 edited player I created and still am having the same issue.

OK, I'm gonna be investigating that.

I figured the problem. I'm going to release a fix immediately. I'm afraid it would have made your life much more easier if you had reported this problem first, before attempting to reinstall the game.
