Davis Cup Final

Postby kyuuji » Sun Dec 05, 2010 6:30 pm

3-2 for Serbia..
Ridiculous.. Well Djokovic played well, nothing to say about that, just Monfils who played really bad..
and Troicki had so much luck..

I feel bad for Llodra. France was in final thanks to him.

I think you're a bit harsh with the french team. Monfils played well, but djokovic was obviously over motivated, and he's way better than monfils, who couldn't do anything in this match (djokovic served too great and didn't make any mistakes when monfils needed one)

Toicki got luck, it was also obvious, but you can't win in 3 straight set with only luck. My opinion was that llodra tried too much to reach the net as fast as he could in the match, and toicki had no difficulty to pass him, all the match long. I even had some pity for llodra, who looked like totally lost on the court...

I'm certain that french team will win the davis cup very soon, with tsonga and the experience of a defeated final :-)

Hi,

I agree with KerzA, Serbia was the strongest this time. They played well, with all the country behin them, the surely had pressure on the shoulders, but sometime it's a good one, and with it you can keep a high level of tennis, even in great events like this one. I found Monfils and Llodra not to their best level of tennis. But they will do better the next time ! We can't win all the time !

This is the most positive statement ever! That is the attitude each nation should try to maintain; . . . . well the coaches, at least. Well stated!

It was a good match and nobody has anything to be ashamed of.

By the time you posted, I guess it pretty much boils down to what you said! ( = At the time this happened, I think it was a different story for the losing team.
