Hello, I have the full version of the game but I'm still unable to host a game.
I have a Belkin wireless router and I've set up the port forwarding as part of the virtual server setup.

However, still no luck. What must I do?

Cheers,
David.

Are you sure you set it up correctly ? (port, computer IP)

I believe so, here's a screenshot of my network setup.

Seems good if your playing computer has IP 192.168.2.2. Sometimes people confuse the playing computer IP address with the router's.

I used the ipconfig command to find out what my LAN IP is and it is correct. I'll restart the computer and router and give it another try later today.

Awesome game btw!

Unfortunately hosting is still not working for me. Do I need to modify my Windows Firewall or Antivirus settings? I use avast! Free as my antivirus software.

Opening UDP port 50000 in your firewall would probably help.

I have found the problem!

By default, Full Ace Tennis sets the Edge traversal rule in Windows Firewall to "Defer to user". By changing
it to "Defer to application" and then setting both the Local and Remote UDP ports to 50000
(instead of "All Ports") did the trick in the end.

Phew! All good now.

You seem to know much about this. Is there something I could do in the game code to configure it properly automatically ?

I know it's possible if the game is written in C#, here's a link: http://www.shafqatahmed.com/2008/01/con ... g-win.html

Other than that, I don't have much of a clue unfortunately. Best probably to just add it to the network instructions on the first page or this thread.

I updated the first post of the thread. I guess you are now subscribed to this post and will be willing to help if someone else has problems

server.txt does not exist anymore. You don't need to have a real ip to host a game (at least if I understand you well)
