You should make a copy of your Full Ace folder to use for editing, just in case you mess up.

This is how I do it, theres probably a better way of doing it as I'm no photoshop expert :o .

Editing Courts

Image

-Open photoshop and start a new project with the following settings...
Width - 2048 pixels
Heigth - 2048 pixels
Color Mode - RBG Color
Background Contents - Transparent

-Then go to File/Place...
-Then choose whatever image you want to use(obviously 2048x2048 images will look best but you can stretch smaller images to fit)and place it.

-I've already extracted a transparent photoshop layer of the court lines which you can download here...

http://www.mediafire.com/?e2z2723xkhrgrej

-Go to File/Place again..., then choose the courts-1.psd file you just downloaded and place it.

-Save as a jpg to your fullace install directory\models\textures
with one of the court file names...

s01_court.jpg
s02_court.jpg
s03_court.jpg
s04_court.jpg
s05_court.jpg
s06_court.jpg
s07_court.jpg

You may also create new ones, s08_court.jpg, s09_court.jpg and so on...

-Then just pick the court ingame to see what it looks like.

-Heres some pre-made custom courts for those that don't want to use photoshop...

Wood looks good when applied in the clay court slot...

I was just joking around when I made these courts, there is to much detail on the court so it's difficult to see the ball at times

You can also just open up the default court jpegs with photoshop and put smaller images like sponsers and tournement names on them easily.

Editing Clothing

kschoice wrote:Original textures for clothing are usually paletted, and use different parts of the palette to allow editing colors for different parts of the pattern. If your new texture is paletted, you should use the same conventions as the game will apply the same process based on the edited colors. But you may also use a non-paletted (24bits) texture, and then it will be used as is in the game, thus giving you much more freedom (but on the other hand, forcing you to create as many different files as the different color variations you want).

-Heres a colourless.psd template to download...

http://www.mediafire.com/?a1gig6xysmxeo9d

Image

-Open it with photoshop and add another layer to make your design, so you can adjust opacity as you edit and thus make sure your placing everything in the right position.

Image

-When everything is as you want it save the file as a .png

-Then open one of the default shirts from your fullace install directory\models\textures

-Open m_shirt_01.png in photoshop for example

Image

-Then go to Image\Mode and change from Indexed Color to RBG Color.

-Then go to File/Place...
and place the first .png file you edited over the default

Image

-To save you have 2 options...
-1. Save directly over one of the 12 default shirts... m_shirt_01.png
-2. Save as m_shirt_13.png upwards...14.png, 15.png...etc...

The problem you'll have here is that for point 1. m_shirts.png in the data folder won't reflect your new shirt design in the Full Ace editor and for point 2. it won't be clickable, so you'll have to...

-Open up photoshop and for point...
1. Create a little thumbnail image of your new shirt design and replace the corrosponding default shirt

2. Enlarge the size of the m_shirts.png file so theres more space for shirts

Using custom courts and clothing online may cause the game to crash. Be sure to mention that if you report an online crash.

How do you know custom courts/clothing are the cause of online crashes?

Because I told him  . But I edited his message to reflect my line of thought better. If you're trying to play with textures you added, with an online opponent who hasn't got them, it may crash. It needs some proofing that I've begun to do but is probably still incomplete, therefore the need to report any such problem.

In those cases, it is most likely that the opponent gets the crash rather than the one who added textures.

Yea man. As stated, I was promoting the edits (of course through a joke).

In a sense, I was saying that images like that are worth trying (crash or not). :D I like it!

Thanks, but unfortunately it is not so simple: it is necessary to adapt the clothes to the model.
Is a work of tailoring.......
I prefer to take real clothing and adapt it.
PS: If I have time, I building some and makes them available to all.

The Wilson stenciling on the racquet is too large. Nice job though
