Controls Help Needed

Postby Malcolmp » Thu Jun 23, 2011 11:14 pm

I'm going through the tutorial and I'm having trouble when I reach the move, aim and hit step. I'm using a joypad. When I move to the ball, aim and hit, my player just keeps moving.

What is the correct sequence of buttons/joystick in order to move, aim and hit?

Thanks.

I've had this problem with other games. What I do is switch from the analog stick(s) to the direction pad. You have to download the software configuration tool designed for your controller to do this. That always solved the moving issue after hitting the ball. Of course, I had to do this, because I was a user of Logitech gamepads (most of them come with two analog sticks/thumbsticks). I largely tested gamepads but I use the keyboard 90-95% of the time.

I hope this helps. If not, I am sure kschoice will provide further remedies tailored to your concern.

Thanks. I tried that, but I'm still having the same problem. I think I just need to know the correct sequence of controls to hit.

Kschoice, can you help?

In the tutorial lessons, the period while the aiming target becomes blue is the one when the directional controls are used for aiming instead of running. It begins when you release your shot button, and ends when you actually hit the ball.
Hope it helps.

Okay. No problem. Hope the other suggestion will suffice!

1.The ball is at the machine try to wait it at the centre if possible.

2.The ball is coming to your forhand side begin to move to the right.

3.The ball is at the (3 with red) point, press the prepare button for forehand and keep moving for positioning. At the positon press any shot button one time(click)

4 After one time click aim the cursor and where the cursor is OK then press the shot button again for a powerfull shot.Leave your finger from the button before hitting the ball.

These are the basics but Fullace tennis simulator has a very beatiful tutorial for practicing these shots

Good luck:)

Thanks. That's a really good explanation.
