Editor / Database

I am looking for some information on the editor. I am wondering if there is anyway the make multiple databases? I wanted to create some past years while still keeping my current DB. Also I was wondering if there is anyway to change a players history. If I wanted to create a 2008 database and have different players start with different rankings how would I do that?
