Acceleration please help

When my opponent hits a very low ball, I try acceleration to see what happens, but it always finds the net, even when I'm in the baseline... I would appreciate if someone gave me some tips about how to hit the acceleration in the right time... Thanks in advance

How do you accelerate ? You try the hard/flat shot or you double tap the lift button ?

I probably use the flat acceleration by using 4/X on the joystick, and it goes straight on the net... Actually I've never experienced the double-clicking one... Do u guys have some tips ?

As I said in other posts, the flat shot is very risky from the baseline, you have to be in perfect conditions in placement and timing. The safer way to accelerate a ball is by double taping on the lift button. Everything is explained in the tutorial if you don't know how do it ! Hope that helps
